Paul VanDevelder is a photojournalist, filmmaker and screenwriter, and the author of the Pulitzer Prize-nominated Coyote Warrior: One Man, Three Tribes, and the Trial that Forged a Nation and Savages and Scoundrels: The Untold Story of Americaβs Road to Empire Through Indian Territory. His award-winning work has appeared in The New York Times, National Geographic Traveler, Audubon, Esquire, and The Seattle Times. He lives with his family in Corvallis, Oregon.
